Judy Schroeder is an ideal instructor. She has traveled and painted
extensively in the US, Mexico, French Polynesia, Western Samoa,
England, Italy, Spain, and Portugal.
Cheerful, good-humored and personable, Judy makes painting
excursions both productive and pleasurable for all workshop
participants. She fully devotes her love of teaching and
wide-ranged experiences to provide valuable, practical advice and
assistance in ways to achieve personal art career goals. As an
instructor Judy's main emphasis is to help artists find their own
unique style.
The workshop will focus on how to find subjects that represent
the essence and mood of unfamiliar settings, and proven methods of
recording impressions with sketch book and camera to provide
resources for future paintings.
Judy is an artist, educator, author, speaker and owner of a
successful art gallery. She has contributed a chapter in " Work
Small / Learn Large", That includes her techniques and art
rendering for sketching and painting on location. Published August
2003, by the International Artist, and is now available in all major
bookstores and the web. Additionally, she is presently capturing
images of California Schoolhouses-an artists' point of view-and
historical journey for her newest book to be released in 2004.
Judy received her BA, from the University of Redlands, with a
special secondary credential in art teaching. She has studied with
many leading American artists, including Gerald Brommer, Rex
Brandt, Keith Crown, Robert E. Wood and Millard Sheets. Her art
is held in many private and corporate collections.
Judy, her husband Jack and family, reside in Orange, Ca
